Our editor Maëlys was born in the south of France amidst olive groves. The production of olive oil is therefore a craft she has observed firsthand and cherished ever since.
As she entered adulthood, certain health concerns led her to pay particular attention to her diet by adopting a healthy and balanced lifestyle, while rethinking her consumption habits. Olive oil had always been an integral part of her diet, but she quickly noticed that this traditional know-how was overshadowed by processed products of multiple origins. The idea of offering a selection of exceptionally high-quality olive oil became a true quest.
Trained by the former president of Huiles d'Olive de France, she learned everything about the manufacturing processes, quality, and the subtle flavors found in each bottle of green gold. She decided to travel across Europe, meticulously selecting each olive oil she discovered.
Like a publishing house, only the most refined products have been chosen to be part of this oleotheque, and each bottle carries the story and signature of its producer, preserved in the most precious of settings.
Over time, she became aware of the benefits of olive oil on her physical and mental well-being and undertook research: the recommended daily amount of olive oil as part of a balanced diet is 40 grams, or two shots or four tablespoons. In addition to the benefits of regular consumption with meals, taking a shot on an empty stomach in the morning ensures lasting balance for a healthy body. This consistent ritual, recommended by Vogue Magazine, is a common practice in many societies known for their longevity, particularly in Korea, and quickly produces visible changes in health, well-being, and skin. After a one-month trial, the effects were noticeable in her blood tests, mobility, immunity, and energy levels.
